I am on the weight loss roller coaster. 2 weeks ago I weighed in at 182.2, last week, 180.8. Awesome, right? I was so stoked and then Tuesday I had a big FAT disappointment 183.2. Are you KIDDING ME? I know I shouldn't have eaten all those wings on Monday, but WOW.
So, new resolution. I'm calling it my New Years Resolution, even though New Year's isn't here yet. But that gives me a better goal than any I have after New Year's Day. It's 11 weeks and 2 days away. I can handle that. There are many facets to my goal and as long as I stick with one, I will be happy.
#1 No Fast Food. I can do this, right? I will allow myself, if I desire, Subway once every two weeks. I can make a foot long last 4 days, so that can be a treat.
#2 FEW restaurants. By few I mean don't go that often and don't order food for delivery. Chicken Parmesan Pasta (esp from Ruby Tuesday's), Hooter's wings and Wet Burritos (it's a MI thing) are my frenemies. There is a Ruby Tuesday's right down the road and there are wet burritos everywhere (it's a Mi thing! lol). Luckily Hooters is an hour away.
#3 No Pop! I've basically stuck to this one for a while. My last pop was a few days ago. I got it on a drive to Hooters (among the OTHER places we went that day!! lol). No more. I want to keep my calorie consumption to foods I can chew, not liquids that can be exchanged for calorie free water...and I know there is diet pop, but the aspartame in it is HORRIBLE for your health and it's the carbonation that gets you anyways.
#4 Do Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. At least once. ICK I have it, I've done it once (by once I mean one day) and was in so much pain I didn't do it again. But pain is good, right? Yeah, right. I want to do it and stick with it!
#5 Do at least two 10 Minute Solutions workouts a day in addition to the power stretch. This may be one that I falter on if I stick with the Jillian Michael's work out.
#6 Walk. Everyday. I live in an area where it's not as easy to walk like it was in North Carolina. I still need to fit it in even if its on the treadmill for 20 minutes.
#7 Count Calories. If I don't eat out it will be easy, right? Let's hope!
#8 Utilize the Iron Gym we have. You know, that thing that hangs on people's doors that they ignore? We've had one for a while and I was doing leg lifts on it several times a day in North Carolina. A new house makes for changed and the only doorway I can put it in is my closet! WAAAAAAAAAAY upstairs, in my locked room because Thing 2 likes to go in there and take things out of drawers and turn on the tub (which has stuff in it at the moment). Time to move it downstairs to the bathroom and if you've gotta go and want privacy, remove it or go to one of the other 3 bathrooms in the house. Momma's gotta be selfish sometimes!
8 of them. Wow. Guess I'm hitting the print button after I am done with this! I'm also going to give myself a reward system! For every week that I did at least 6 of the 8 every day I get something, lol. Who knows what, but if the weight loss actually happens, I can start to treat myself to *small* desserts. Or I can plan a trip with my hubs or to see a friend. How is your weight loss going? Any ideas, tips or tricks you'd like to share?
